First, let me complement the developers of this wonderful rom. I have been immensely impressed by all involved.  I would urge all who keep using this rom to donate to these hard working and incredibly dedicated developers.Since I feel I put the idea of using beats into the minds of the developers I decided to install this update today to to see if I could help all of you having sound problems; and the solution is simple.

 .

So here is what I did. I dirty wiped 2.9 as someone recommended - just factory reset cache dalvik system- installed 3 and set it up. Got rid of Apollo. It doesn't work with awesome beats v3. Flashed the awesome beats v3 zip but left the DSP manager in the rom .Usually I remove it because v3 is it's own DSP manager. Didn't touch sound effects. Awesome beats v3 integrated with DSP manager and improves it's sound so I set up the manager the way I like it and It works fine. Simple solution. But in many cases a DSP manager in a rom will interfere with v3 and needs to be removed but not here . It's one less thing to do.

Great job on the theme.  Unfortunately I'm not a fan of all the red. I prefer blues ;)

Your right Apollo was in 2.9. My mistake. Been a long time since I removed it I forgot it was there. Great rom .

How about everybody just shuts up? Don't get my thread locked down over something as stupid as Beats.

We have a great ROM and a great community that's growing.

Everyone posting in this thread is a part of the RAGE community.

Everyone posting in this thread is a Human.

Let's not forget that point.

I would appreciate it if every Human in this RAGE community would NOT have open & public disagreements such as today, especially such lengthy ones. That's why we have the ability to have private conversations, so let's keep our public thread with complete civility, honor, and respect.

Think I'll be moving back to 2.9.  3.0 was just making my phone run way to slow.  BDH, I know you will come out with a good ROM, can't wait.

I don't understand why it makes my phone so slow.  I mean it just simply drags through ever transition.  I even played with different settings.  Went back to 2.9 and now it's like greased lightening again.  Kudos to you and Team Rage.  I'll chill with 2.9 until 3.1 comes out.  :p

What type of issues are you having? I might be able to help you trouble shoot, and I can suggest changes that you can easily do yourself. ^_^

As most of you know, I'm in the military. A lot of you know what that entails. Long days, long nights, working weekends, stuff like that.

Well, as of Monday, I'll be doing a Field Training Exercise (FTX) for the next 2 weeks. I'll be available on twitter and gtalk but will not be able to push out any updates for 2 weeks.

When I come back though, development and updates will continue to drive on as usual.

v3.1 will be pushed this weekend and it will be the last update for 2 weeks.

Thank you all though for your continued support and I'll see you all in 2 weeks!

Everything just simply is in slow motion.  From the lock screen to moving from one home screen to the next.  Opening at app takes at least 3 times longer than it did on v2.9.  It's not just one or two apps or transitions, I mean it is EVERYTHING.  Any ideas??

Ah I miss those days...Rolling Thunder, when we'd take over Ft Bragg for 2 weeks moving and shooting. Have a great time! lol

Is there a way for you to give me a list of your installed apps? I think there might even be an app to share a list of your apps.

Also. What "governors" and whatnot are you using?

Have you installed other modifications? Such as lockscreen, homescreen, battery icon mods, scripts, and et cetera.

BDH, thanks for your service. I retired in '94, US Army...infantry, ranger, airborne, SF scuba, ordnance-maintenance management.

xCorps, since you are in a helping mood.. :p ..it seems that when I BT sync my Maxx to my F150. I'll lose all media sounds, media player, ringtones, notifications, etc. but phone calls work fine. I've deleted all audio managers except system audio manager and Google Music (no DPS, Beats or Apollo). Monday I reflashed stock JB using Matt's utility and sounds worked fine. Weds I started using BT again to and from work and all was well until this morning, Friday, I lost sounds again. I did a dirty reflash of v3.0, no joy. Sound just came back after about 6 hours on its own. Any ideas? I think it is related to BT. This didn't start happening until I got my new truck about 5 weeks ago.

I used the Governor that is default the default.  After realizing the speed, I changed it to hotplug.

I'll try to get the apps have when my phone cranks back up.  I sent it to bed for full recharge.  However, they are the same ones I had on 2.9.  I had not added any app after 3.0.

OoRAH. I was Army, but I have the heart of a Marine. Hence the x-Corps name I use here.

I'm always in a helping mood!

Did you re-delete those apps AFTER you used Matt's Batman Utility Belt?

Try turning off Audio Effects altogether in your system settings and let me know of that works.

Next. Where are your audio files physically located? Internal Storage? External? System/Media?

If you uninstalled an app on 2.9, then it may have been reinstalled with the 3.0 update.
