I can't seem to get my microphone to work while texting. Also tried it on Google Now and it is "very" slow to turn on. Any one else having problems with this? It worked great on v2.9.

 

No problems here with the microphone being slow.

Is yours working OK while texting? I might just do a fresh clean install to see if that fixes it. Thanks.

Can I flash from 2.8 to 3.0?  Or do I need to flash to 2.9 first?

Just used voice to text to send 3 text messages. It misread a word that I said but other than that it worked fine. Try just rebooting into recovery and wiping cache and dalvik.

I tried that a minute ago and fixed permission too, still not working. I'll recreate slot 1 and reinstall to see if that will fix it.

I did a fresh install on a new ROM slot, so that may help

It works now. Deleted slot and reinstalled ROM and now I'm back in business. I hate typing so I "need" the voice typing....

When I click on mobile hotspot it checks for subscription status and then fails. It works on my non safe side. I've checked the SQLite entitlement check. I even set it to zero and back to one to see if it fixed it but no dice.

I'm not sure what's going on with the hotspot, but I have never been able to use the built-in app. I cannot even access the database to change the entitlement check.

My hotspot works fine (with stock app).

BUT I have had this problem in other ROMs that baked in the hack.

It may be possible I don't see the problem here because I haven't done a fresh/clean install since 2.7. Back then I did the SQLite hack. The next 3 versions just installed an update package over the current.

I'll test my theory in a different slot

Funny you should try that theory, as I just tried myself. LoL. I did a fresh install of 3.0, but SQLite Editor gives me the following error:

I'm ATTEMPTING to find another SQ editor, but there's nothing as simple as SQLite Editor. Do you have any recommendations? I believe the entitlement check is still set to value of 1, but I could only READ the database with a different "SQL Manager" app. It wouldn't let me edit. I'm banging my head against my Droid... Screen's cracked now. =O

The BEATS is not playing nice with my phone... it acts like it installs, but then I get no sound.  Uninstall and sound comes back.  Any tricks to getting it installed?  Do I have to freeze dsp or anything?

Messenger working fine for me... but I have seen this issue addressed in this forum on older versions:

 

 

Does anyone have problems sending sms? I can receive SMS and mms. Can also send MMS just not sms. I tried fixing permission no luck just says failed

Yes the fix is to go to your dialer and type *#*#4636#*#* then go to phone information and scroll down to preferred network type. Set that to lte, cmda, evdo then exit and toggle airplane mode on and off. Presto it's fixed

Same for me, no sound if Beats is installed. I uninstalled DSP.

SQLite Editor is working for me.

It works for me, but that's the error I receive when clicking the settings.db inside the Motorola settings. Actually.. Just about any database I try to access. I'm about to try clearing data for SQ, but doubt that'll work.

Btw, thank you for everyone giving the time to help. =)

EDIT: Clearing data didn't work.

After flashing, phone can't get a signal. Any ideas as to a possible solution?

The SQLite hack is already done. Entitlement check is already set to 0. If it's not working then you may have to wipe everything and reflash.

Yeup. Did a fresh install of 3.0 today via deleting Slot 1 and all the wipes. I only installed Titanium Backup and SQLite Editor. I still received that error message.

Something deeper's going on with my Droid. I'm thinking on making a "lost" insurance claim and just keeping this one for development purposes. :
