Open Goo Manager and change the preferences to "Never". Just download the updates from this site.

+1

You could also set the update frequency to be longer between checks. I have mine set to "boot" only, so it'll only check when I reboot my Droid. I'm patiently waiting for the fix. =)

Go to

Settings > About Phone

Scroll down to "Build number"

Press Repeatedly until you see  pop up that says you enabled Developer Options

Now go to the settings main menu

Scroll down and look for "Developer Options"

In there you will find USB Debugging :)

Wow!  U r the best!   been looking for 2 weeks!   before i do it, can I disable ti once installed?  And, should it be left on if I am running a Kexec Rom?  Hmmm.... like I said, I'm new at this:-)   many, many thanks!

Thanks for putting DSP Manager on your ROM but unfortunately its not working for me with Pandora or Gmusic. I flashed Flying Jelly and DSP works fine. I'm sure its because DSP is baked into that ROM. If you do any updates could you consider baking DSP into your ROM? Thanks for all your hard work on this most excellent ROM.

Love the new boot animation. This ROM is my favorite now. I loved Arctic and Eclipse both, but this one is nice and is my daily driver at this point in time.

Anybody else having issues with goo.im being slow? Says 2 hours to download 2.9 and I am on a decent connection.

**NM - Re-downloaded and it's much better now**

I was a fan of Apex until another ROM pushed Nova on me.  Very similar, but lighter.  And now that I tweaked it out just right, I have no reason to go back ;)

I have used Apex almost exclusively since I first got ICS. I spent a few months on stock launcher with a ROM I had been using, but went back to Apex when I switched to another. After the JB upgrade, I tried Nova; it was good, but I missed my Apex. I just liked the way I had it set up and I was used to it.

I also tried Atom launcher and it is smooth, but I didn't care for some elements of the UI.

Tapatalking from the pits of hell with my Slaytanic Rage machine!

Goo is always slow. Too many files, not enough bandwidth. Have you donated?

Yea i've tried to install dsp manager/beats/nooxide and they never work. I think it has something to do with motorola's built in sound effects (settings/sound/music effects). I've tried deleting the apk and installing one of the other dsp sound managers but i think without the audio lib files installed too it will never work.

Semi-noob here.  Why am I getting a Security test failure?  "Validation of crytographic module failed.  Please restart."

Sounds like you haven't upgraded to the .16 kernel.

This ROM is only for Jelly Bean Kernel 98.72.16 (most recent OTA update)

To get the right kernel either update your phone or use the Dual Boot Utility.

It worked on Flying Jelly but I'm not sure if the built in audio effects was there or not. If BDH bakes it in on a future update I hope it works.

Long time lurker here. I switched to this Rom about a month ago, and I absolutely love it. I just flashed to 2.9 and everything is grand.

The new boot anim is pretty sweet, as is Apollo, AdFree, DSP Manager, etc.

My battery life has never been better, and I've never loved my phone this much. Keep up the great work, and I look forward to seeing what you do next!

Baked in just means it is built into the ROM. Having it on the menu is some additional ui work only and impacts only where you click the shortcut from. I never tried Acid with Rage but it worked fine with previous stock ROMs.
