I set the network in Settings/Mobile Networks/Network Mode to LTE/CDMA. I use this in settings on any ROM, or as close to it as the ROM allows, and that seems to work best for me.That's what I suspected. I certainly don't expect you to troubleshoot such an obscure issue, nor would I want you wasting your time on it. I do have one more question: Is the preferred network type for everyone showing up as LTE/CDMA/EvDo/GSM/WCDMA or LTE/CDMA/EvDo by default? I understand the fix but just curious if that is the source of the issue in case it shows up on other roms.
Thanks for this ROM BDH. It really makes our "old-fogey" Razrs into significantly better phones.

In 2.6 I was prompted to update busybox, then dirty flash 2.8and got prompted again. Should I not be needing the update on 2.8.
Is the Mobile hotspot hack coming soon?
When you flash the updates, it probably flashes over the older BusyBox binary, overwriting the newer one so unfortunately you'll need to update the BusyBox binary every time you update the ROM. I'm looking into fixing this very soon.
Yes Mobile Hotspot hack will be in v2.9 guaranteed.
Darn, got me excited
Ok, since regular toggles are staying in... is there any way to fix or change the brightness toggle? When I toggle it off, my brightness doesn't go back to the level it should be at. It just sticks at the auto bright ON level until I go back into the brightness settings or lock/unlock my screen. Its basically useless right now (IMO).
I would MUCH prefer a toggle that cycles through 3 or 4 settings instead. But if it is to remain just an Auto Brightness ON/OFF having one that works right would be great
Unfortunately 1 has to go and it is extremely easier to just remove the Power Toggles app. Sorry for everyone that wanted it but it took a long time to code the baked in ones and would be a huge pain to remove them.
First off I'd like to let you know this ROM is beast so thanks for that BDH . I do encounter a minor issue, however . I sometimes got a random gapps force close, I wonder what may have caused this? I did install this clean (delete and created ROM slot, wipe everything and stuff). I also restore my apps through tibu. Not sure what went wrong. Thanks in advance!

The issue is probably due to the TiBu restore honestly. I tried to recreate it myself though an had no issues restoring apps.

It does require Busybox and Root to work properly, but it works on the awesome Rage ROM which I've confirmed.
You can check it out here:
Enjoy!

The reason this issue hasn't really been addressed by me is because there is a very small number of people having the problem. (3 to be exact.) 3 people out of the 600 unique downloads. I personally can't fix an issue that I'm not having myself, and can't recreate. I'm sorry you're having the issue though and sorry that's it a deal breaker but the "fix" in the OP is the only help I can offer.
Make that 4 - Issue with every restart. Toggle works, but it is very strange nonetheless. No issue on any other Rom or on stock. My guess (and this is a wild guess) is that it has to do with something in the initial boot interface with the antenna. I get it regardless of whether I boot with the phone in Global mode or in LTE/CDMA only mode. A toggle to the other mode with an airplane mode toggle does alleviate the issue.
Also, this one I can't figure out - I keep getting notifications that there is a new version via GOO - when I'm already running the latest version (happened in both 2.7 and 2.8). Is this normal every time I reboot the device?

BDH, you need to get a donate button going so people can thank you for all your hard work and awesome rom!

Just go into the Goo manager and set the notification to "Never". Once a new version is uploaded, you'll get notified by BDH and then you use Goo manager to download it.Dirty flash or clean? I dirty flashed and get the same goo notification. Wonder if clean would fix it? BDH, you need to get a donate button going so people can thank you for all your hard work and awesome rom!

You can dirty flash. Goo Manager is going to say you have an update but if you're on 2.8 then just ignore it. I can't figure out how to get it to say that you're up to date yet lol.
If people want to donate, they can just send me a PM.

I used the tether hack to get it to work. BDH said it would be incorporated in 2.9.I'm sorry if this has already been answered but I haven't been able to get tethering to work even after downloading multiple apps. Bad flash/ download?

When I set one of the pie "slices" to KAA - Kill All Apps - it doesn't seem to kill anything. When I pull up recent apps after running KAA, all the apps are still there. Is anyone else having a problem with this or have I missed something in the settings? Thanks for any advice.
I've looked all over but can't find if it's normal to have the app remain in the resents list even if the app is killed. Can anyone confirm this is the case?

1. I have a strange circumstance to report: I just d/l'ed & installed 2.8 yesterday & since then I've gotten three or more Goo notices that there is an update for the rom… v2.8?? what gives?
2. Can I use the widget News & Weather 1.3.11 with this rom? (I have it as an unrestored app in TiBu backup list fm a recent rom).
3. I'm using Widgetsoid to add a couple of bars of toggles; is there any benefit to switch to Power Tools?
4. LMT PIE tool seems very cool; does it take a lot of resources if I keep it resident by setting it to start up on boot?
thanks in advance to any who can answer / help;
p.s. are there any themes for this rom?
all the best, SpyderMan
