FTR the fix only works temporarily. Usually it comes back in about two hours or after any reboot. Unfortunately this is shaping up to be a dealbreaker but it does appear I'm in the minority with this issue.
P.S. Thanks again for all of your work. This ROM is by far my favorite and I appreciate everything you (and the team now) do.

I do have a couple questions regarding some of the apps i see on here, as im not sure what they do or if i should mess with them.
If i could get a brief description of the following, and any directions on changes i should make, that would be great.
AdFree
BusyBox Free
CPU Sleeper
LMT
Power Toggles
Thanks for any help you can provide.

Not me.Anyone seeing a drop off in reception with Rage? My phone is noticeably slower when downloading apps, and today I dropped multiple calls and I previously never dropped calls. Just curious, could be a fluke.

AdFree removes most ads in the browser and other applications installed on your Android phoneIf i could get a brief description of the following, and any directions on changes i should make, that would be great.
AdFree
BusyBox Free
CPU Sleeper
LMT
Power Toggles
If you don't know what BusyBox is... I recommend you don't touch it
CPU Sleeper helps save battery life by shutting down one CPU when your screen goes off and turning that CPU back on when the screen comes on.
For LMT go watch the video in post # .
Power Toggles creates a very customizable toggle bar (similar to the one in your notifications pulldown window now). If you need or want more toggles than what is in your notifications now, open Power Toggles and create them. Mine usually has Data, WiFi, GPS, Hotspot, Flashlight, Rotation Lock, Volumes Slider, Brightness... all in one row
IMO the only two apps in that list you need to mess with are LMT and Power Toggles IF they interest you.

Any thoughts about putting DSP Manager on a future update?
Your ROM is fantastic.
Yes I plan on putting DSP Manager in. I know I said I would in v2.8 but I honestly forgot. I promise you it will be in v2.9
+1
I need to look into that because I honestly don't remember how I got that in there.
So I just fastbooted back to stock - wiping data - in an attempt to fix the texting bug. Bug still there. Works fine on stock rom so it has to be related to something on Rage. BDH is it safe to assume you will not be addressing this as I don't see a lot of chatter related to the issue?

The reason this issue hasn't really been addressed by me is because there is a very small number of people having the problem. (3 to be exact.) 3 people out of the 600 unique downloads. I personally can't fix an issue that I'm not having myself, and can't recreate. I'm sorry you're having the issue though and sorry that's it a deal breaker but the "fix" in the OP is the only help I can offer.
I just started using this rom and have to say its been great so far.

AdFree
BusyBox Free
CPU Sleeper
LMT
Power Toggles
Thanks for any help you can provide.
AdFree - As the name suggests, it blocks Ads.
BusyBox - Simply a binary that is needed for a lot of stuff you can do with a rooted device. Every rooted device has the BusyBox binary installed but I also include the app that way you can always have the most up-to-date binary for your device.
CPU Sleeper - An app that is actually not needed anymore and can cause some issues. It is an app designed to shut down 1 of your cores when your phone display is off. Then it wakes the core back up when the display is on.
LMT Launcher - Actually not a replacement launcher at all. More like an add-on. More can be explained in the video posted in Post #690
Power Toggls - Honestly, leaving Power Toggles in v2.8 was a mistake lol. I should have took it out and it will be removed in v2.9 (anyone that wants to keep Power Toggles will just have to dirty flash v2.9 when it comes out.

In 2.6 I was prompted to update busybox, then dirty flash 2.8and got prompted again. Should I not be needing the update on 2.8.
Is the Mobile hotspot hack coming soon?

Darn, got me excited
Ok, since regular toggles are staying in... is there any way to fix or change the brightness toggle? When I toggle it off, my brightness doesn't go back to the level it should be at. It just sticks at the auto bright ON level until I go back into the brightness settings or lock/unlock my screen. Its basically useless right now (IMO).
I would MUCH prefer a toggle that cycles through 3 or 4 settings instead. But if it is to remain just an Auto Brightness ON/OFF having one that works right would be great

If the baked in toggles could be removed, that would be great. I would rather use the Power Toggles app so that i could customize my pulldown toggles. I read in a post a few weeks back that if you decompile one of the apks that it could be removed, but I'm not sure which apk should be decompiled to remove them.

Personally, I really like having the Power Toggles. If anyone doesn't want them, it would be easy to uninstall. So I'm petitioning to leave them in.Power Toggls - Honestly, leaving Power Toggles in v2.8 was a mistake lol. I accidentally changed my wallpaper and I can't find the RAGE wall paper anywhere on the phone. Do you have a link?

That's what I suspected. I certainly don't expect you to troubleshoot such an obscure issue, nor would I want you wasting your time on it. I do have one more question: Is the preferred network type for everyone showing up as LTE/CDMA/EvDo/GSM/WCDMA or LTE/CDMA/EvDo by default? I understand the fix but just curious if that is the source of the issue in case it shows up on other roms.
Thanks for this ROM BDH. It really makes our "old-fogey" Razrs into significantly better phones.
