Had to downgrade my kernel, then recompile and reinstall the wifi drivers. Only issue is that I have to go through the GRUB menu and select this kernel every time I reboot. Anyone know how to set this kernel by default?

The one time I tried ubuntu (dual boot), Everything luckily just worked. However for some reason it actually made my laptop run hotter than windows 7.

You could try backing up and restoring through Titanium Backup, or you could use a root explorer app to copy it over to your system/app folder. Not the data/app folder. Don't forget to change permissions to match folder contents.
Sent from my Motorola Droid RAZR Maxx running JellyBean RAGE ROM 2.7 and using the Tapatalk app.
I'm not familiar with changing the permissions, how do you do that?

I've had to do this on several ROMs. You'll need to install the stock moto email. Normally, you would need to uninstall the email and exchange app using TiBu, but for this ROM you can just flash this stock moto email zip and it should overwrite the existing app. Here it is:
EDIT: just for clarification, just download the zip file to your SD card and flash it in SS. Tasks will be in the widget selections.
Got it, thanks! Haven't tried to install yet, but hope it works.

LMT Launcher is a "PIE" style quick access tool. It allows you to touch a portion of the frame of your phone to bring up a cool group of customizable shortcuts. LMT is in your app drawer. Open the app to get started. I'd recommend watching this video first. It gives you a good tour of it and instructions on how to set it up properly.ftnds can u pls tell me what's lmt launcher I flashed this ROM but where I can figure and this kindly help me I am new to this

This post right here is why I don't run Linux. I've tooled around with the latest Ubuntu release but can't convince myself to use it as my primary OS because I've never NOT had some kind of problem in Linux where the solution is ridiculously convoluted because everyone who can/will fix the issue has been using the OS for so long they prefer terminal to anything GUI or different. Sorry, but to me, using an OS shouldn't require learning a new language to obtain core functionality. I'm not bagging on Linux at all, just saying I'm not willing to put the effort into learning it like I have with Windows since first using it @ 3.11.

Sorry if this is n00b, but in SS do I just choose install, select the zip and that's it? Didn't know if it would flash right over Rage or what. Thanks.

Just wipe cache and dalvik cache before flashing, should work perfectly.

I'm just trying to flash the stock Moto Email (so I can get the Task widget back), so you are saying do the wipes and flash it right over the top of Rage? Just wanted to double check. Thank you.
