I love everything in this ROM except the battery icon. What I'd like to do is pull my favorite icons out of one ROM and put it into this one. Does anyone know how to do that or know of a thread I can read up on? I don't like the ones in Rom Toolbox ;)

Edit: Think I figured it out. Gonna try it tonight

Let me know if you need some help with it.

Well you may not need any more info if you have it figured out but there are multiple ways to do it. The files you need to change should be in /system/framework/framework-res.apk. You can open the apk on your computer with a program like 7-zip. You can then put the new battery icons into your apk replacing the old ones (make sure the file names are the same) and then push it to /system/framework/ using either adb or by making a custom update.zip. You can also try replacing it with root explorer but sometimes it can crash your phone mid copy and cause issues because it is replacing an apk that is in use. Another option is an app called ninjamorph. It can be found on the Play Store. I haven't used it in a long time but back when I had my original droid I successfully used it to replace all sorts of images in system files including framework-res.apk. This might be easier than editing the apk yourself and pushing it back. Also you should go into safestrap and make a system backup just in case things go wrong, however it isn't as crucial these days since you can always just swap over to your stock rom and reboot if you run into trouble on your custom rom slot (on my OG Droid this was critical though because I only had 1 system and if I screwed it up I couldn't boot).

Hicks used to have No Frills in the System settings, but I have not seen that since an earlier version of RAGE. He even used Power Toggles in the System, but he removed that, too. I'm sure they will not show up in System, but you should be able to install those apps like normal. Titanium Backup has the ability to make them a System App, but this will not put them back in your System settings menu. Hope that helps. ^_^

Great, that is exactly what I wanted to know. If the system menu integration still existed then I was going to see what needed to be done to install them properly, but now I can just install the apps I want normally. Thanks!

Hello - was wondering if anybody has a problem with Wifi on this ROM? I cannot connect to my wifi, not only this ROM but with others as well. I've tried unchecking the box for slow connections in the advanced WIFI settings with no luck..

TIA for any advice

I use Llama to automatically connect to WiFi at work and I've had 0 problems. Is this specifically your home WiFi? I've seen on other threads that it may be your home router. If you're having problems with all WiFi's then I'd say to do the four wipes and re-install.

Thanks for the help everyone. I will get Ti Bu installed and backed up. Also read in this thread something about busybox. Do I also need this installed and running on this rom? I will probably flash tonight and get it flying for steady use and want to make sure I have it set the way it needs. I really appreciate all of you.

Just checked and no wifi problems here. You did a full wipe before the install right? I'm not sure what could be causing such a problem.

Idk why but is there some special way to install 2.7? Like do i need to flash 2.1 first boot then install over top of 2.1? Cause it boots up but stops right after i hit english setup and just stays on ths next screen saying this could take a few minutes. I let it sit for 20 minutes and it didnt do jack...haha

It should just work with a clean install. I made a new Rom slot, wiped everything, and then installed the Rom and it booted up just fine. You are on the latest JB OTA, .16, right?

I flashed 2.7 without a full wipe (took a chance) and it's working great. Any previous issues where fixed.

I had the exact same problem. After 3x trying to get it to download and boot up, I deleted the ROM slot and rebuilt it. Works fine now, just a bit laggy compared to 2.4

Its possible that it may just be my router only as I havent tried connecting to anything other than it. Next time I'm around another internet connection, I'll give it a shot. If it were my router, what would be an easy fix...other than purchasing a new router?

Unplug your router, wait a few minutes then plug it back in. Wait until all the lights come back on then try to connect to your phone again.

no luck. I even did a factory reset (holding the reset button down for about 5-10 seconds)

Note: Can anyone confirm that HDMI is working on 2.7 ? I don't really want to give up my Lockscreen from 2.4...

I did have some lag issues but I shut off CPUsleep and it's much better now. Not sure why but I turned it back on and it was fine but after an hour or so, it was laggy again. Shut if off and it was fine.
