Really like this ROM. Super smooth and very quick.
I have noticed one thing though, no biggie, but if I choose an alternate System Alert Sound or Default Ringtone, every time I reboot I have to reset them.
After each reboot the phone switches to 'Unknown" ringtone. Not a big issue, but I was wondering if anyone else has seen this?
Again, great ROM, and thanks for all of your hard work.

I've seen a fix for that somewhere on this site. Don't remember the thread though. Recommend some searching.
Not much help, I know, but it's better than nothing!

I've experienced this when I connect my device to my laptop via USB. It only happens to my custom ringtones on my SD card. It doesn't matter how my USB connection is listed. I think I need to move my ringtones to the ringtone folder so I don't lose them. Don't know if this will fix your issue also.Gary,

I'm running 'deadline' and 'hotplug' and getting excellent numbers on Quadrant.

TitaniumBackup is your answer, backup and restore so changing ROMs takes only 10 minutes to set back up.

It seems to be a normal thing now. Maybe it's a Motorola or Android quirk that it forgets where you have the tones stored whenever the SD card is reloaded, but placing your tones in the system media folder should fix the issue.
First thank you Hicks for this great ROM!! I am new to modding my RAZR and forums in general. Was wondering I currently have 2.4 saved and running on slot 2, didn't know if 2.7 could be flashed over 2.4 so I don't have to redo all apps? Also I have been replacing SU with chains version and wanted to make sure this will not cause any problems? I am very exited about pie controls and cpu controls. Love the smoothness and speed of this ROM!! I have been switching back and forth between my stock rooted jb and rage trying to decide which to run as daily driver and if things are as good as I expect with 2.7 would imagine rage will be my running rom. Thanks again, love the work!!
RAGE has been my daily driver since 1.2 when I first noticed Hicks' ROM. Hicks has stated in the OP to do a full wipe when installing. Others have tried without wiping, and some have had issues without wiping. I recommend using Titanium Backup or some other app to backup/restore your SMS, Contacts, Homescreens, Apps, et cetera.
Note: Can anyone confirm that HDMI is working on 2.7 ? I don't really want to give up my Lockscreen from 2.4...

guyz can someone make a gsm patch for this? i really want to use rage rom
I'm not sure this is the right area to look for a GSM patch. We're all basically just users and abusers of Hicks' RAGE ROM.

Ok thanks for the info, should I just install the apps normally or simply copy them to my data folder and set permissions with root explorer? Will the no frills show up in my system menus from either install method or should I just stick to the normal version (it isn't a big deal either way, just curious)?
Hicks used to have No Frills in the System settings, but I have not seen that since an earlier version of RAGE. He even used Power Toggles in the System, but he removed that, too. I'm sure they will not show up in System, but you should be able to install those apps like normal. Titanium Backup has the ability to make them a System App, but this will not put them back in your System settings menu. Hope that helps.
I love everything in this ROM except the battery icon. What I'd like to do is pull my favorite icons out of one ROM and put it into this one. Does anyone know how to do that or know of a thread I can read up on? I don't like the ones in Rom Toolbox
I would suggest looking for topics for Theme'ing ? I believe that is what you're trying to do. I would direct you to specific topics, but I'm just starting to learn these things myself. I'm sure I'll be looking into Theme'ing myself within the next few days. I just installed Android Kitchen today to start tinkering with Developing.
