I don't think anyone here was upset or requesting he drop his real life to tend to this problem. I'm pretty sure the point was to raise awareness of the issue and confirm that others were having the same issue so people wouldn't think it was their own doing that it was not installing.

I'm a long time lurker on these boards and I must say, BDH is my favorite developer and this has been my best ROM for sure


Precisely. I even followed him off of this board when he temporarily started his own site . Fantastic dev, and we will simply wait patiently for the fix.

Hey BigDaddyHicks, can you tell me how you've gone into the stock messaging app and changed its name? I'd like to change the name of a couple apps on my phone (flashlight app, file manager app) but don't know how.

I figured since you're going through and updating apps to make them more "Rage" themed, you'd know how.


You'll need to download the ROM to a computer, unzip and use apk tool to decompile the apk for the app you want to change.

Also, FWIW, and it's a little late, but if you disable the lock screen in the security settings you won't have a problem with the reboots.

I'm very upset that something in my ROM has caused so many different issues. On that note I will be removing the AOSP lockscreen and going back to Moto's stock lockscreen in v2.6

No this is not an April Fools joke, it's being removed. It's simply too unstable to use and causes way too many issues. The benefit does not outweigh the cost.

You sent me the zip of the Lockscreen, and I've never had issues. I upgraded the ROM on top of the zip I flashed for the Lockscreen. Perhaps we could flash the Lockscreen separately? You think that would solve issues? Idk. Just thinking.

And I don't want to lose that sweet Lockscreen. LoL. I actually had mine disabled altogether before you set me up with this one.

Has anyone successfully downloaded and installed v2.6?

I did, but it was buggy as all out and kept on F/Cing on me. I eventually gave up on it. Took me 6 times to instal it.

If you use your Razr for work you may not be able to disable the lock screen...some email clients won't permit it.

Crap sorry guys!!!! Not sure if it's a bad upload or what. I'll have to look into it but unfortunately I have a lot of stuff to do today but I promise I'll get around to it. Can anyone give me the exact error they get when trying to flash?

It says "unable to open zipped file" with a red Failed. It is not a corrupt zipped file, like some others, I sometimes open the zip file on my laptop to ensure it opens and it opened there. Maybe a file missing? Idk. Just guessing. It's not like it screwed up your device...you're just still on v2.5. :-)

The link will be posted in the OP yes. It will also be available via the Goo Manager app. Just open the app and go to "Compatible ROMs."

You should see the ROM or my dev tag at Goo.im (spc_hicks09). If not, just go to "Browse all files" then "Devs" then serach for "spc_hicks09" and then you'll see 2.7 in there. Again this upload is not finished yet so please don't download it yet.

Ok guys look, I know everyone is anxious but please. The ROM isn't even finished uploading and it already has 7 downloads?? This can probably break the zip file. Not to mention it's not going to flash. I said I would post here when it's available.
