So just in case anyone was wondering. I finally figured out the issue with the help of "andlaw."

1.) So on the first test of v2.2, the signature for the framework-res.apk didn't match anything which is why it wouldn't load.
2.) On the second test, the signature for framework-res.apk matched v2.1 but not stock .16 JB which is why it would only flash over v2.1
3.) Third test of v2.2........... honestly I don't know what happened, I screwed up a bunch of stuff lol.
4.) Fourth test of v2.2, the signature for framework-res.apk matched BOTH stock .16 JB and v2.1. However, the signature for the SystemUI.apk didn't match the signature for the framework-res.apk which is why it would boot, but you would lose your statusbar and wallpaper.

Finally I got to thinking. I remembered that in the Android Kitchen I could sign any app I wanted, but those apps would not be able to be updated through the Play Store. Well, the framework-res and the SystemUI don't need updated lol. So I threw them into the Android Kitchen and signed both apks with my own signature. Presto!!!! v2.3 was born and everything worked great.

5.) Then about an hour later, I found out the hard way that the upload of v2.3 was broken, thus resulting in the errors when trying to flash it.
6.) Got a good uploading going and now v2.3 is available to everyone! I'm in the process now of uploading a mirror for mobile users so you can download from your phone as well. As of right now, MEGA only works good when downloading from a PC.

Anyway, enough of all the technical mumbo jumbo, go flash Rage Rom v2.3!!!!!!!!!!!!

Figured the least I could do is let everyone know what the &%$@ was taking so long LOL. Alot of work went into fixing this and building it so I hope everyone enjoys it!

Also, don't forget to frequently check out the "Coming Soon" area in the OP ;)

Well dropbox has this thing where if it gets too many downloads in 24 hours, they will suspend your account for 3 days. That's why I never use them. I have the file uploading now so it's good. Thank you for posting a mirror though!

You can thank Wacocapretto for the wallpaper, he did an amazing job. It's amazing how just changing a wallpaper to a good quality wallpaper can really just put the icing on the cake :)

Big thanks to everyone testing and throwing ideas at me for fixing this. You guys are the reason all this happens in the first place ;)

2.3 is great! Nice job. I can't figure out how to add an airplane mode toggle to the notification pull down area. Anyone know?

Does this rom have the hotspot hack?

Heyo. I installed this rom without any issues. but i'm still having the weird "unknown error -24 during application install" when i try to install certain apps from the market, and i'm getting random failures and "super user denied access to romtoolbox pro" when trying to restore. PLEASE HELP. I love Hicks' roms and wanna be able to rock this one for the months to come! thanks so much people :)

The pulldown toggles are baked in and cannot be edited without decompiling apks and doing some coding.

Yep got it up and running. Testing so far and have not run into any problems.

I am having a slight issue. I have installed the ROM to ROM Slot 1 and it booted up, I had the option to select my language, and clicked set up, but now Im stuck on "Please wait, this may take a few minutes." But I have been stuck here for 10 minutes now. Should it take that long? What do I do now?

I had the same problem using the mobile link but the computer download allowed a data signal to start the setup.
