Just back up your ROM, delete Safe Strap, install Safe Strap, recreate your ROM slot, restore ROM...badda bing, bada boom you're back in business, 10 minutes max.

I desperately need to do this as my phone is constantly lagging and freezing up. Can i get conformations on how to "Backup" and then "reinstall" the safestrap? 

 

I'm pretty sure there is a "Backup" function inside of the SafeStrap, but can i also just plugin my phone to the computer and COPY + PASTE the ROMSLOT2 folder onto my computer?

 

On reinstalling SafeStrap... do i need to do something special because i already have it? or do i just fallow the instructions as for normal 1st time installation?

Go to contacts (people) then at the top will be a place for your info (me) press it and then press the menu button on the phone an info field will open. press the photo placeholder and select the pic you want to use. This will apply to messaging too.

@JL I see what happened here. I actually had a contact as "me" already there so I never noticed the "my profile" at the top...thx tho

Question, not directly RAGE ROM related, but y'all know everything else so.....I want to stop an app from requesting an update, previous suggestion was to disconnect from the app store using Titanium, which works for about a day, then the next time other apps request updates it shows in the list again.  Surely there is a way to permanently disconnect an app from the app store??

You could try android firewall but if the app uses the internet or streams live content that won't work anymore. I don't know if this would work for you but I've done this to eliminate ads in angrybirds and didn't get update notifications

Its not the app itself that is hacked..... its the entitlement check that is changed.... and it can also be done on stock.....

Also i am back on Rage rom and with stock same location I am on 4g full bar now on Rage i am getting 3g I downloaded a network refresher and rebooted?

Don't know what to say. This ROM is completely stock, if it works on stock, it will work on this ROM. Also if you want the apk for the wifi tether hack, it is the MotorolaServicesProvider.apk and can be found in /system/app on Rage ROM. It will work with stock as well.

 

For data you can use the included Phone Info app and check your Network Connection. Make sure it is set to LTE/CDMA/EvDo

Alright, crazy question here. The link for the latest CDMA v. 3.3 on anroidfilehost says the upload date is June 20, but the OP says the rom was updated on 7/14. Is the file on androidfilehost the latest version, or is there a patch to fully update?

Pretty sure the 7/14 is for the GSM ROM version.
