I had to go back to stock because things were just running way too slow on my phone. I think it's because I have so many apps installed, but since I use the internal memory for the slot storage, it hurts performance. Or, it could be my phone, but when I'm on stock and have a lot of free space, the phone performs much better.

Therefore, is there a way to flash this ROM onto the stock side? I'm assuming it's safe to do so since we have fastboot images for the latest JB OTA. But, doesn't this require a custom updater bin in the update.zip file? Wasn't sure if such a thing was create for Rage Rom.

In fact, are there any OG RAZR/MAXX ROMS out there that allow flashing to the stock side?

I figure at this point, there won't be any more OTAs as the MAXX is pretty much a dead phone in the eyes of Motorola and Verizon, so I don't have an issue if I have to fastboot back to stock in the future, but I'd like to see if not having to run a ROM on a slot would improve performance?

Thanks!

You can boot into safestrap.... wipe dalvik cache and cache..... then you can follow this thread

[How-To]-Free-up-Space-On-Internal-Storage
To free up as much space as possible on internal storage......

As far as flashing to stock slot...... while you can actually do it, it is really not recommended as it may really screw something up.....

Also you can use Autokiller app from play store to help free up RAM, to help speed up the phone.....

I can no longer longpress icons in the drawer to put them on the home screen or longpress on widgets to resize / move them.  Does anyone have a fix for this?  Seems so bizarre.

I can't move any icons / widgets on the home screen or in the dock either.

What launcher are you using stock? Apex? You could wipe cache and dalvik in safestrap.

You have a backup made( of apex)? If so restore. If not go into settings/apps find apex clear the default setting and see if the stock launcher works better. If so I would uninstall apex and reinstall it. :)

It is staying on please wait , this may take a few minutes for the last 20 minutes, I put it in slot two because I could not see how to delete slot one, just did a reinstall ,
Thanks

Did you ever get an answer for this?  I am having the same issue and also installed in slot 2 because I didn't want to get rid of my avatar rom just yet.

I'll give that a go.  FWIW, I got the download from droid forums and it's version 3.2 from back in may.  When I came to this site, I saw that there was a version 3.3 so hopefully this works.  I was surprised at how quickly the 3.2 version flashed versus other roms I've used so I suspect there was something wrong with it.

Ever since the JB update I have been noticing slot 2 being very touchy. When nothing works on it format and delete the slot. Reboot on a different slot and create slot 2 all over.

just successfully flashed the 3.3 version quickly and easily to slot 2.  Time for bed, I'll play around with the functionality in the morning.  having trouble trying to use my titanium backups from the other roms, thought I'd be able to just point it to the backup folder and easily restore stuff but having trouble with it.

I've been running Rage Rom 1.4 for a while...(Yes, I've been out of it for a while).  Finally have time to upgrade and wanted to know if I can just apply the v3.3 on top of 1.4 or do I need to wipe it?

I would recommend a full wipe. You're welcome to try to flash it over the top of 1.4 if you'd like. I just can't say how well that will go. Lol. There have been a lot of changes! :)

Most definitely wipe. There was a required wipe somewhere around 1.6.

For some reason, my phone doesn't want to stay locked onto GPS. It takes a good 2-5 minutes of driving around before it locks on, in which case then it runs slow. Is there any way to fix this?
