Is there any way to stop recent apps from showing when pressing the home screen.

Some third party launchers (Apex, Nova, etc) give you the ability to change this in settings, but you may need the paid version to access the option.

I installed the ROM ok on Slot 1 using safestrap....after booting it shows "Security Test Failure -Validation of cryptographic module failed. Please restart"

 

Any idea???????

which model u r using?  this rom only for droid razr xt 912,,if this model which kernel

Are you on cdma or gsm? And did you make sure you downloaded the correct version?
Are you on the OTA or are you on the leaked JB?

Sorry I forgot to give complete details. I am installing on xt912. I hv come from jelly wiz RLS7.

 

Kernel Version : 3.0.8-g67218e8

Please guide me how to install proper kernel.

This error means you're not running the right version of the Jellybean Kernel that you should be running. You need to be running the actual JB OTA and not a leak.

+1 just to add to bdh's statement you should be running the system version that ends in .16 not .8 if you manually installed the "Christmas leak" there was a patch leaked to bring you up to the full ota. This is what I did. I've had No issues with the rom installing.

So I tried to update host files for adfree this morning and got the "fatal error version is too old" message. If any of you get this go here and select "download adfree".

Uninstall the old version first. The icon changed but it's the same old app.

First of all, thanks to the appropriate parties for a full-featured ROM!

 

However, I have a problem since I loaded v3.3 yesterday.  Rage Messaging doesn't stay open.  It fc's with "Unfortunately, Rage Messaging has stopped".  I followed the install instructions to a tee and had no issues.  I downloaded TB so I could restore everything due to the full wipe/reset (found out thru this site that I could've done a zip restore    ).  Did a Restore missing apps + all system data.  Didn't try messaging prior to restoring so I'm not sure if I reloaded something that now blocks it or what?

 

I tried the *#*# as posted earlier with no success.  I thought about re-doing the install over but don't which app/s to not restore.

 

Any ideas?

Try wiping cache and davlik my browser was fcing. That straightened me right out.you can also try fix permissions in safe strap.
