if your talking about greenify in regards to moving chrome to user app once you make it a user app (rom toolbox is easiest way) open greenify and press the plus symbol at bottom right corner of the screen. Then press show more APps. Then select chrome and hit check mark at top right. It will then be hibernated I hope this is what you meant lol edit never mind haha!

i am sorry bud i cant help ya with that. no real experience with that sort of thing. try hanging out in the chat and ask different folks. some smart cookies in there...sometimes lol

Just to clarify, this has to be installed in slot 1? Or slot 1 just has to be deleted and recreated, but any slot will work.

Doesn't matter. I have it in slot 2; flashed without doing anything to slot 1.

Question, I tried converting Chrome using rom toolbox, and it says the conversion was successful, but Chrome still shows up as a system app. I deleted Chrome and added from the play store and it is a user app which I can greenify. So my question is when using Titanium to delete system apps I get a warning about the potential to mess up my rom. Is this a valid concern because there are other "system" apps I would like to delete (Apex for example) because I am not using them and would prefer to keep the phone as clean as possible. If I continue to delete non essential "system" apps will it mess with the rom?

I would say no as long as the "system apps" are available from the playstore. I have uninstalled apex personally with no ILL effects just use common sense. I suggest freezing them first to see if there is any problems. If not then uninstall.

I cant seem to get any wifi tether apps to work on this rom.  Any ideas?

 

I stumbled across some posts about this from earlier on and about just using Mobile Hotspot.  I set it up, but once I turn it on, it automatically shuts itself off.  Anyone else encounter this or have a suggestion?

Don't use an app. Use the built-in tether hotspot.

Thanks for the response. I actually found your previous posts about this AFTER I posted the question.  Sorry for repeating previous issues.  As far as the Mobile Hotspot....at first it wouldn't work, but a reboot fixed the problem!

Just want to say thanks to the dev team!!! I've been rooting my devices since the original droid and by far this is the smoothest ROM I have run so far!!

Thanks for the recommendation.  I froze the apps quite awhile ago and everything is working fine so I'll move forward with deleting.

So I tried to update host files for adfree this morning and got the "fatal error version is too old" message. If any of you get this go here and select "download adfree".

I had to go in and change the entitlement  check to 1 (it did not do it on its own)
