hmm. anyone else's phone not "screen rotating" with the phone? i check my the desplay options and my Nova Launcher settings and they both say "allow". ideas? OHH and thanks for the help to everyone so far. I am now able to use my phone and I have had NO force closes or reboots sense i adjusted the O.C. down to 1300 from 1335. the phone is still glitchy and not smooth, but it's very usable now!

I selected Auto-Rotate in Nova and it worked.

The first shift to landscape (and back) took a little bit while the system did the initial draw.

I don't use nova but as far as oc goes I suggest dropping max to 1275mhz. 2yr old hardware may not tolerate even 1300mhz.
You can go up in increments of ten from there and find the sweet spot.

Thanks JL90 for the Freq. idea, i've set it to the 1275. I'll keep an eye on it. Also, thats for the recommendation of 10 point increment increases, i was also wondering about that yesterday.

I have 3.3 as well. I don't normally use it... makes my preferred clock/weather widget look weird, but it works. Kinda ironic.

You need to wipe cache and dalvik. However, my updater-script does that for you. All you have to do is flash the zip. No wipes.

Hey BDH..What a run with this great ROM.  As a late comer to Rage(3.1), I can only say that it will be around for quite sometime on my Razr Maxx.  Thinking of the S4 as a possible next phone down the line and will definitely try to find some Rage if so..

 

Just to double check on updating to the latest version.  I'm coming from 3.1 so are the above install directions the same?  I have Rage in slot 2...go into SS, wipe cache and dalvik and then flash the zip????)

Just so everyone knows. Sadly this will be one of the last updates for RageRom. Not saying it will no longer be supported because it will always have my support! However, I am getting the Galaxy S4 on Saturday and haven't even owned a RAZR for months. Most of my development will be for the S4 and the S3. So if you would still like to get your taste of RageRom, I encourage everyone to get an S4. There will be 2 flavors of RageRom for the S4, a stock based 4.2.2 build, and a CM10.1 based version.

The reasons for this being one of the last updates is because there's simply not much more I can do with this ROM to improve it, and if I can't improve it then there's really not much point in updating it. Like I said though, this ROM will ALWAYS be supported and I really hope you guys move over to the S4 because I have never had better followers than I do with RageRom. You guys have stuck with me through it all to make this the absolute best stock based ROM for the OG RAZR! You guys/gals are awesome!!

I've used this ROM since 1.4 and must say it's the BEST stock ROM out there for the XT 912. it's been awesome being a part of it, and watching it evolve to what it is today. We all thank you for your hard work and dedication to this ROM!

While we are all commiserating I'll just add this...
I joined this site to have easy access to this ROM! I found it searching for a ROM that would boot in slot 1 ha! What I gained was a group of people loyal to this ROM and to helping each other. I think I flashed 2.1 and within a few days aokp and liquidsmooth were deleted. I haven't been on stock in months! I havent tried another rom since! I have made some friends and really enjoy the sense of community on this site, particularly this thread. I have gained a lot from this site and am trying to learn as much as I can to give something back. I hope even though the updates may stop this group we have continues on! Hats off to bdh and Grimm and the whole rage crew. We all have to be thankful for their hard work. Thank you all.

my ram memoryshowing ony 130 to 140 mb free i dant know what to do i used greenfy but no usage,,i m using droid razr maxx xt 912  and use ram showing 700mb ... i closed all applications and deleted some games and application but still result is same... dont know what to do .. i added all the running application mb showing in my screen  is only 185mb ...but system showing 700mb used ...and only 130 mb free...if any help appreciated...

Dear BDH and the whole Rage team,

You guys totally rock! I've been using Rage since the first versions and must say it has just gotten better and better. Although I've strayed to AOKP and Aviator briefly, I always end up coming back to Rage for its functionality and stability, not to mention the fantastic support you guys provide.

 

Now Rage 3.3 is out and my RAZR is even better! I am finally able to hit 1300 Mhz  using Rage 3.3, pegasusq, and sio on my 2 year old OG RAZR. Suh-weet!

 

I will be moving to the S4 in the next few months (thanks for confirmation of my choice) so see you there.

You can try a 3rd party app like go smspro or a similar app. I don't think 4.1.2 has that function at least on our phones.
I tried...but no obvious way to do it. I even tried my wife's stock RAZR no luck.

Try a task killer I prefer clean master but everyone has a favorite. I use greenify and cleanmaster and I usually have 250-300mb free easily(not many apps though haha!). Greenify only hibernates user apps so if you use chrome (ram pig)convert it to a user app.

Screen rotation seems to have fixed itself! 

 

I think the "ONLY" other thing i can't figure out is the Wifi Tether. Tried Google's Wifi Tether, and even fallowed this tutorial...

Hmm. it didn't work before when i had 3.2 rom. Now (after installing and then uninstalling both foxfi, and wifi tether) it is showing up in my available wifi networks. The SSID is "FoxFi98". it connects and asks me if it is a home/work/public network, but the pc shows no internet.

Settings> Tethering & Mobile Hotspot> Checking the "Mobile Hotspot" box.
