I'm pretty sure rage messaging is stock 4.1.2 just themed.

I've done and accomplished all the suggestions posted yesterday regarding SetCPU, Governer, Wiping cache/dalvik - Fix Permissions, Scheduler set, Profile with screen on at 100 priority, ect... and I'm still experiencing some horrible lag in navigating the phone, starting apps, opening emails, ect...

Any further suggestions or ways to troubleshoot appreciated.

You can try changing freq. To 1325 with the instructions in the op. Maybe your phone doesn't like 1350 my sweet spot is 1335. first try a reboot

Is there a way to replace the Rage Messaging app with the standard Messaging app? Rage messaging breaks my DeskSMS which sends my text messages to my IM client on my desktop when I am at my PC.

If you use Titanium Backup you can replace Rage messaging with stock. Just ensure you've made a backup of the ROM in SS....... just in case.

How many apps do you have? How large of a partition did you use when creating the slot? Have you tried wiping cache/dalvik cache? Must some things I would try.

Try installing greenify. It helped others with lag and I heard from a reliable source it will be in the next update.

Ok I'm at the end of this part:

 

Use sm editor to open it if it asks.

Edit the frequencies to your liking.

Press the back arrow on phone.

Select save changes.

 

 

When I go to "Save" changes with the back button and press OK, it reports : Unable Save File

 

All I did was change in the last line the 1350 to 1325

Update: I used RM Editor and was able to "Save" the file with the change and verified in SManager. Rebooting now and proceeding with SetCPU change as instructed.

I have about 300+ apps and have a 2GB partition and have moved numerous apps to Internal Storage already. Yes, I've tried wiping cache/dalvik already and reboots.

I'm actually trying "Seeder" right now. I tried Greenify before on another ROM and it messed with my ability to get incoming texts notification for some reason even though I didn't add Texting to "Greenify" list. :

I've never had issues with greenify and have used it on every rom I've flashed aokp cm liquidsmooth and rage.

I seem to be having success now so far lag is virtually gone with changes from clock speed of 1350 to 1325 and the addition of "Seeder" app.

That's the thing. I already have a pic in there assigned to my number in contacts but it is not showing up in text messenging on this ROM for some reason.

I just got the black screen of death when trying to wake my phone and had to force a reboot with the power and volume buttons. :

 

Edit: And I'm now stuck in a bootloop taking me clear back to the motorola initial screen each time.

 

Proceeding through safestrap with a cache/dalvik and fix permissions to see if I can rescue it. Yikes! Should I lower my OC if I can get back in to like 1300?
