Does FasterGPS help at all? Have issues intermittently on getting a GPS signal on both my cell and wife's on Rage 3.2 - could just be Google Maps related?

Is there a trick to downloading the latest update? I have tried 3 different browsers on 2 differenct computers but cant seem to get the downloads to start. I have downloaded from this forum before for this particular ROM. Are the links broken?
