Can anyone post and host the files/steps necessary to get Google Calender working? I can't find a copy of B15 to download anywhere online.

Many thanks to ThaRazr26 for the copy of B15!

For anyone else still having calender sync problems, here are the files and steps* to fix it! (It takes about 2 min total including downloading files and a reboot)

Step1: Download the following files (Note: these were extracted from the B15 .zip)
  • CalendarGoogle.apk (Link:

    Please Login or Register to see this Hidden Content

    )
  • CalendarProvider.apk (Link:

    Please Login or Register to see this Hidden Content

    )
Step 2: Copy both files to /system/app (Replace/Overwrite any existing files with same name)
  • This step and step 3 requires a decent file manager. I use Root Explorer for this, it is well worth the four dollars it costs. Market Link:

    Please Login or Register to see this Hidden Content

Step 3: Change permissions of both newly copied files so only the following boxes are checked
  • Owner: Read - Write
  • Group: Read
  • Others: Read
Step 4: Reboot
Step(?) 5: Enjoy! Now you should be seeing your synced Google calendar(s)!

I hope this helps! The calendar not syncing was the one thing that bothered me about this ROM. Now it's (nearly) perfect!

*Steps can be essentially credited to cae312006 on DroidHive. I just cleaned it up and made it idiot proof.

I didn't have to change any permissions to the files to for it to prompt for permissions. I have not had anything come into my Caledar yet, but I have Business Calender Free installed and everything came in on that app. All of my current and furture appointments show up fine.

now if the video and face unlock would work it would be golden.

Also, I did not reboot yet.

Ok, everything is syching up now in the regular calendar without the file modification or reboot.

Thanks for the heads up. guess I dropped the ball on seeing that and updating this thread. I'll update the OP as soon as I can get a chance.

I just updated the OP with the newest build and its release notes. I have a question for everyone though. Would you like me to add the release notes for all the builds or just the current build like I have been doing?

Sweet......going to take this for a test run now. New to the community coming over from the ns4g. You have my vote to do what is easiest for you. I would think just doing the current build is enough.

I just got my Maxx and am on .173. I'm rooted and running Gummy but want to give this rom a shot. So do I need to install Voodoo rootkeeper to update to 181 and then flash this rom?? I wasn't sure how to update.

Just get back to stock 173, then take the OTA to 181, then you can root using the MotoFail method :)

Can I just install the backup I made of 173 when I first rooted?? Then I could install Voodoo and accept the update.
