but ics builds are known to have issues with data, as was 748, for some more than others

Which is why I asked if he could successfully flash other roms. If so then it may just be his phone doesn't like that version of this Rom, or he has a corrupt file somehow. If that were my phone I'd flash 4 or 5 roms just to see if they establish a data connection, if so then I would try to redownload this Rom, and an older version to see if it was maybe just a bad file or if the phone doesn't like ICS (maybe the phone is lactose intolerant) But if the phone will not establish a connection with any Rom then its a problem with the phone. With my wife's phone I tried to put Eclipse (173) first but it didn't work so I tried a few others (and I even used RSD lite to get back to factory settings and that wouldn't activate either) and none would connect voice/data.

Hopefully he can fix by simply changing settings but if not I'm giving other possible reasons why it won't work.

Just updated to B15 and noticed that the tethering and portable hotspot is stuck on trying to turn on. If I try to use a wifi tether app I also get a message that "tethering started with errors" and to check the show log. Show log failed for loading kernel-module, activating wifi interface and starting hostapd. Any ideas on what I could do? I did make sure that I did a full wipe before installing.

Is anyone having issues with the screen turning staying off during longer phone calls?

When I talk to someone for over a couple minutes the screen doesn't turn back on until I vol down+vol up+power to turn it off

Been using B15 all day, from noon till night, and have had all but one single problem

(Don't know if this has been addressed)

Installed from a factory machine
Firing on all pistons
Till I tried to take video. No matter what I do, or how long I try there is no way to take any type of video without another application's help.

It took 3 videos that were either unplayable, or too short to count as a video. I tried for atleast 3 hours.

My only concern,

keep up the Absolutely Amazing work guys!!!

Update on wifi tethering: If I reboot and use the wifi tether app it will work just fine. I also tried to use sqlite but do not see the same settings options that I did on stock rooted for the entitlement check to change the value to zero. Any ideas or is there anything in the works for this? Thanks for any help in advance!!!

My toggle switch for tethering didn't work either, got stuck like yours. Reboot and go straight to the app and it should fire up. Just put a widget on your screen instead of using the toggle

this will be a great rom when it complete. im running it, even though there is no video. that's what's cool about safestrap. 5 minutes and you get the camcorder back. 5 more minutes and you get this awesome rom back. 5 minutes is nothing. well, my wife complains it isn't enough time, but whatevaaar. it's about me!

The ROM was working fine for me for 2 days until I rebooted today. Now it keeps freezing and either rebooting or turning off for me.

HELP HELP HELP HELP HELP HELP HELP HELP
Okay maybe someone can help me with this. but when ever i flash an ICS ROM on Droid Razr (CDMA) the install works fine and then in Safe strap, I click reboot. Then the Motorola Dual Core Logo comes up then a Back-Lit Black Screen comes on and no boot animation. and i can leave it there overnight and nothing. I get no response from the new ROM. I wiped all the data, Cache, Dulevik Cache(Misspelled) and I go to Mounts and Storage > Format /system. I Do all of this and yet no response from the new ROM.
On My Razr im running:
2.3.6
6.12.173

I just dont know.DT maybe you can help me out because idk what to do from here. Nothing seems to work. (I also tried MIUI V4 Beta and that also didnt work)
I have experience with rooting the OG droid and I added new ROMs daily but since i've gotten the razr. Nothing seems to work.

We will start out with the simple questions just to cover bases. What version of SafeStrap are you using?

I had the same thing happened to me when I installed Safestrap to Gingerbread and ran the backup program.

What I did was, cleared all the data and installed Aokp|Axi0M |Kang|, rebooted and it ran just fine. In order to get OUT of the black screen though, hold the Down Volume rocker, and the Power Butoon for 7 seconds and you should be able to get back to Safestrap.

Also make sure that you don't do what I did by accident and grab the wrong zip file and it be just the gapps.zip... I did that by accident and just got a black screen instead of the boot animation as well.

Okay. To Thach: im using RAZRSafeStrap-1.0
and To Sh0rty 140: Im using the right .zip file. Can you send me a download link to the file you used, i might be using gapps. but its not named GAPPs. Thank you!

To Everyone Else:
I did clear all the data and it still gives the black screen. And i tried multiple ICS ROMs.
In order for me to use my phone i do manually shut down with Power + Volume Down Button. Then i go back to Safe Strap and turn "Safe Mode" Off. This then restores my OG, OS. Then i run safe Strap again to try a different ROM. I'm familiar with safe strap and clockworkmod. and i've added the eclipse ROM for 6.12.173 .

Phone info:
System Version:
6.12.173. XT912(Verizon/CDMA)
Android Version:
2.3.6
Kernel Version:
2.6.35.7-g61e352

Thank you guys SO much. I honestly didn't think i would get this much responses back from this.
