What version of safestrap are you using? It seems to me that you are on a older version. Get the latest safestrap (version 1.0.9) and then do the usual full wipe, cache, dalvik, format system and then install. I am sure that should work for you.

Oh goodness didn't even see that I was still on an old version!! Thanks for your help I'm about to download the new one and give it a try

Ha finally got it to work. Thanks to all the community for their help and these awesome ROMS. I've been following this site since December and it is hands down one of, if not the best. Once again thanks to everybody!

Here is a direct link (one click away anyway). No forum logins required. This the same folder pointed to by the download link on DroidHive.

No data at all :( the only thing that works is Wifi. I tried rebooting the phone, toggling airplane mode, and toggling data on/off

Just a friendly reminder..this thread is for AB5. It can get really confusing for someone who is not aware of Droid hive or AB7 to come in here and read about issues that peeps are having with AB7 when this is thread is for AB5 and AB7 has not been released here yet. Droidhive has a forum for AB7. No offense to anyone..just looking out for the noobs...
Hey bub, I'm not finished with you yet..... SKNIT!!

Android OS is probably a culprit.

Finally took the leap and flashed AB7 on top of AB4, after backing up everything. I used Safestrap 1.09. Didn't wipe anything. So far the ROM works well. No FCs.

Whenever I reboot, I only get 3G data. I have to do the data toggle to get 4G. But that's better than AB4 where I had to toggle to get any data. Baby steps, but good nonetheless.

Will report back if I run into other issues. Thanks DT for all the hard work!

That seems about right with your usage patterns I would say. Dont forget that a lot of apps/games dont get individually listed for battery usuge, they are tied up all in android usage. You had over 6 hours of usage, probably some game or texting. I get about 18 hours with almost identical usage but difference being that my wallpaper is almost black and my brightness is set to 0. You'll be surprised how much battery that saves. But my wifi, bluetooth and 3G is on 24/7. I dont use 4G unless I am downloading or streaming something. And my google music(local, not on cloud) is on probably 6 hours of those 18 hours. My GPS is always off.

I really only use my phone for texting/calling/twitter and some other minor apps. That seems pretty odd for only doing that.

Still, I think that with screen on for 6 hrs and 15 minutes and the battery lasting over 15 hours is very decent and above average for most other top end androids.

P.S. I am assuming you have a regular razr like me and not the Razr MAXX

Yep, that's correct. With Eclipse I was getting 18 hours. Then again this is an alpha and such..

Wow, I'm getting 8-11 hours with a maxx (my bionic on eclipse normally got 5-8 and upwards of 24 hours with minimal use) I use my phone heavily, and mainly for browsing.

turn your bluetooth off. It's one of the issues that supposedly don't exist

haha..
I have the same issue. Everytime I use BT to connect to SYNC in my car after I get out the car when I get a phone call its like I'm still connected to BT..no sound, not even the ringing when you make a call. turn off BT, instantly working again.

I notice in your warnings section you say not to flash unless you're on a certain system version. My phone came with system version 6.11.748.XT912. How is it possible to change to the correct version?

You need to go to settings/about phone/check for updates. The latest OTA (official) is 6.12.173

Go to settings. Scroll down to "About Phone " and select "Check for Updates ". It will start the process of updating you to .173.

I was at 39 hrs and still 30% battery remaining on my Maxx with setcpu and juicedefender ultimate working with these ROMs over 2 days of use at work.
So battery life has been excellent with proper rules for keeping power limited, screen off downclock cpu, data off cept pulling email every XXX minutes, etc.

The most I have got on my Maxx was 59 hours using setcpu for a screen off profile (300 mhz max), Juice Defender checking my stuff every hour, but I did not do any downclocking. I'd love to try some undervolting, but not sure where to start.

I have since moved from this rom till barcode scanning works. Fast rom though.

The link to AB5, that this thread is for, is not working on the other forum. Does anyone have a direct link to the file?
