My question is this...why do I always have to manually insert voicesearch.apk into the gapps b/c it isn't included in the roms or gapps packages?
You don't.. lol. Why are you flashing Gapps?

Loaded up the aokp ics Rom yesterday and got it all set up before I saw this thread. So, this morning I decided to go ahead and flash axiom over it without wiping anything and I booted up quick and easy. No issues at all without wiping and didn't have to set up my screens. Love it!!
Side note.....I have noticed on every ics build when I set a personal background from my gallery they just don't work right and do not scroll..... except using nova launcher on this build. Found my new daily driver!
Thanks DT.

Set to not scroll and they should be centered. It's an ICS thing/bug.

I'm an idiot...but I wasn't flashing a gapps package. I know better haha. On certain apps when the keyboard comes up the microphone button is missing. And then that led me to speak too soon. My apologies.

Hey DT...in theory (no pun intended) would a black background/wallpaper be better for battery life?

Now that DT told me about Apex, I'm using it and think it's top notch also. Very fluid transitions. I've used Nova, ADW, SSL, GO, Trebuchet, TouchWiz, Sense, Motoblur, etc and my top three are currently APEX, ADW, NOVA in that order.
Now I wonder if inverted Gapps will work on this build....hmmm

Last Rom installed all my apps automatically and this one is not, Did I do something wrong?
Did you select the Restore option in the Setup? Did you open Market yet?
