I did that and, while the animation was gone, the sound remained. It looks like the method is to delete it with a file explorer.

Sorry your right, install Root Explorer...file is located system/media...make sure it is mounted as R/W to delete(SORRY DT)

It's not just a google services problem. No apps that require data will work.

This is't a VZW issue. I've switched back to .173 various times in the past few days and I've had strong signal constantly. This is a problem within this base of ICS for the razr. It always seems to lose connection almost half a day into use. There must be something going on in the background with this. I'm not the only one to have this issue.

I don't have data drops. Granted the 4G strength isn't as good as other roms but I've never had data drop out after half a day.

I've had data drops with every ICS rom I've ran on the razr and I still love the $#!+ outta DT's roms. He's a hard charger along with Hash, Dhacker, P3, etc. I can't thank them all enough for the MASSSSSS development going on with the razr.

But like I said, I've had it also where it says 4G or 3G but can't get data. Nothing a little reboot doesn't fix and if that's one of the VERY few bugs for an "Alpha" build, by golly I can't wait for first release after Beta. :) Keep up the good work all you Razr Devs!

Just curious since the main camera is working does this mean the FFC isnt far behind? I know its stupid but my friend has a Gnex with face unlock and I kinda wanted to play around with it on my Razr. :D Reguardless Im still flashing this ROM I'm more than ready for some ICS on my Razr.

Quick comment; despite the camera working, when I try to use the barcode app it simply stares at whatever I'm trying to scan blankly. It sees it just fine, but doesn't manage to scan anything. Could I have some more info about this?

i'm a noob to flashing on Moto (been HTC foreverrr).. i'm on 6.12.173 right now.. all the instructions in the OP can be done using Boot Strap, correct? I'm rooted, but haven't done much since. I just want to make sure I know what I'm doing, I know how easy it is to brick

and awesome work to the devs!! your guys are amazing!!!

ETA: @Mazler420 (a few posts were put up between you and my posts)

It shouldn't be too far behind. W/ that said face unlock is a novelty at best. Fun to show the friends and fam but that's about it. When a Chinese ICS ROM from Samsung was leaked for the Note I mobile ODIN'd it onto my GNote. It was cool for about two unlocks. After that it is a pain in the rear end.

Don't get me wrong, it works pretty well, but can easily be beaten if you really want security or worried about it. Secondly you have to hold the camera pretty much eye level towards you in order for it to recognize your face and unlock. And lets say it doesn't recognize you, now you have to go to your backup unlock feature which can either be a pin code or a pattern unlock. So now you're wasting that much more time just trying to unlock your phone.

As I said, cool novelty, but nothing else, IMHO.

Bootstrap is fine. Just make sure you factory reset, wipe cache, wipe dalvik, and format /system before flashing.

Then you have 2 choices... Wipe the piss out of everything and flash the ROM. Or.... Flash a different ROM until this isn't ALPHA any longer.

If it were a ROM specific issue... Everyone would have the issue.

I'm certain its not a rom issue, as I've experienced poor, and dropped signal for last couple weeks on a mix of ics AND gingerbread roms consistently. Its VZW. BTW, this build is awesome! Great call on the apex launcher, its the best

what's the quickest way to kill the boot sound without rootexplorer? ;)

Does the normal "leave the phone in vibrate" when you reboot not work?

Edit: Just tried after putting on a different boot anim with sound and it does still play the sound. Weird... but eh, it's an alpha.

Note, what is the issue with the Blue Tooth? If Blue Tooth is enabled, but not connected it will still try and use it... and when trying to use my Blue tooth, it was intermittent.. like it didnt output anywhere... somewhere the sound is just getting lost.....

I've not had output issues with my Car or my true bluetooth headset. I have one headset that wont connect for some reason though - a Logitech H800. That makes me wonder what happens when it tries to connect and fails.

I will note that apparently Bluetooth on but not connected also causes the mic to die for Voice to Text input. I was messing with the Swype beta (Dragon dictation!) and was trying to say something and sat there baffled at why it wasn't doing anything. Then I saw BT on.... and chuckled!

My most important reasons for wanting ICS have been in DT's roms for a while now

-Speed/Smoothness (ios better pick up their game soon...it's neck in neck in that department)
-Battery life (a must for any non Maxx Razr owner)
-Sleekness (ICS in it's vanilla flavor looks the part..all business no show. Sadly honeycomb/gingerbread were just about the opposite...all show and little to no go)

Hey all, quick question: Anyone know how to get QuickClock working for ICS? It keeps freezing when I try and apply an overclock, but was working perfectly when I had Eclipse 1.2.1

I think it's a combo between ICS source and the $#!+ty 173/4/5/6/7 OTA's/leaks

On 748 I never had a weak signal and hardly ever switched off 4G to 3G. On stock Official 173 and leaked 175 (the two I've always ran) I've noticed extremely worse signal strengths and I'm in way more 3G mode than 748, even when I know there is a strong 4G signal as I had them with 748 and also on my GNex (okay sometimes...GNex radios suck), Rezound (awesome radios), and Bionic (dropped data issues plagued this phone, but not my personal device).
