"AOKP" (Android Open KANG Project) is a built from source ROM similar to CyanogenMod (but different). I didn't create AOKP, STS-Dev-Team only ported it to the RAZR.
You can visit the AOKP website here:
Their developers include: Roman, Zaphod-Beeblebrox, Whitehawkx, and more.
The future of AOKP is quite bright as new features are popping up all the time.
This port is based off mine and Hashcode's ICS work for CM9 and it has ALL of the same issues (and possibly some which weren't addressed in the port).
SafeStrap:
I recommend doing a wipe data/cache before installing this ROM.
DON'T LET GOOGLE RESTORE YOUR SETTINGS WHEN INSTALLING THIS ROM COMING FROM GINGERBREAD
For STS-DEV-TEAM website:
and github / sources are now here:
FOR DEVS: Hashcode has a local_manifest.xml setup for this ROM, so that you can repo init from AOKP's manifest and drop in the STS changes to build for all 4 phones.
IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR GETTING DATA ENABLED:
NOTE: You need to dial *#*#4636#*#* (or use Phone Info from the market) and toggle data mode between modes. For me toggling to GSM only till the screen flashes and then back to GSM/CDMA auto (prl) works perfect. It will show data for a sec then flash off and about 30 seconds it will pop up to full data.
WHAT DOESN'T WORK:
Camera (in progress)
HW Video Codecs (in progress)
Bluetooth on but not connected = loss of all audio (in progress)
Seems only 1 SD card is sharing, this needs to be corrected with a CM patch -- might also be causing a NovaLauncher crash which needs a battery pull.
ENJOY!

Is it just me or when ever the power button is pressed to get the reboot/screenshot/torch toggle it reboots without getting an option
Don't enable the torch option it doesn't work on Moto phones yet.

for some reason the keyboard isn't working at all for me currently. anyone else have this problem or can help me out?
Just flashed and I also have no keybaord. I think is only coming from Gingerbread that causes this because we format the system im not sure ill play with it and see what i can come up with.

well this rom is sweet, but it looks like i can't keep it considering the keyboard just doesn't work.. shame
I believe this is caused ONLY via bootstrap (CWR 5.0.2.5) as this has not affected Safestrap users. I myself was affected as per below method
My method of install VIA bootstrap (CWR 5.0.2.5) was from axi0m -> formatted system, data, cache, dalivk-> install aokp->install GApps 2/17/12-> reboot (This method will cause the keyboard issue)

My apologies I should have rephrased my statement. The method posted is a way that causes the keyboard to not work. So don't use the posted method that took me to a failed keyboard as well as gtalk issues and something in setup.
