No. It doesn't work. According to the safestrap thread you're supposed to be able to flash the stock side using safestrap version 311 but it doesn't work. I've tried it several times. You can however, restore a backup of the stock side if you made one. I'm able to anyway.
Whatever the case, don't mess with the stock side.
Done it many times no problems. I've flashed several on stock with 3.11 prefer it actually . Helps when I delete every Google system app. However I recently tried eclipse 2.2 and kinda made a red headed step child ROM that didn't work well. But I wouldn't recommending, my droid seems to take a lot more then everyone else's. I do crazy things flash whatever some work some not so much but it fixes right up and chugs along at always perfect speed. Had a weird issue recently CDMA spyder now reads. Droid RAZR Max? I side flashed jb ota manually and I think that was it. I scampered right on through the jb leak was rooted with blade ota to jb and chugged along just rerouted with Matt's utility and no problems. 16 ROMs later a few wiped OS and a cup of smack from Matt's products and the beat goes on? Don't get it bit I cannot Brock the thing believe me I have 3 and I've have so tried just to tinker and they take it with no real gripes. Figure that out? Just xt912 with big batteries but cannot brick it other than maybe needing to wipe everything blank screen then reload. But that's how I learned? Anyway flashing over stock was fantastic for me, was running 3 ROMs and had next and go prime launchers at same time never a worry. Yesterday the dang thing went gsm which was a new curiosity but I was to blame. Wiped everything and network was can let vzw again no worries?
