And yes, as soon as you get the opportunity, we will need any information you can give as far as RSDlite failing...... So we know what steps to take next....

From what I recall, it said flash failure unknown fastboot command getvar, I tried deleting the command because one video said it would fix but i got the same issue but with unknown fastboot command OEM instead. I installed the mobility drivers off Motorolas site and rsd lite. I honestly don't know what to do, I restored a few system applications but the rest won't install. So my best try is to use thatYou need to be 100% stock to be able to take the OTA...... (Includes all bloatware, stock recovery, etc).....

You must have done something to one of the other commands or left some errant info in there. You can either use Sam's new tool, or grab House of Moto and using the fxz flash a save data.
FDR?
FDR = Factory Data Reset - you do not need to erase your data.

for clarification, my bootloader is locked. Can I have a link to Sam's tool? I'll try it when I get home. I've seen house of moto and it looks a bit complicated, so I don't know if I should try it or not. I've also found a download for all the applications, but it wouldn't let me install them. I guess this is my only optionYou must have done something to one of the other commands or left some errant info in there. RSD with the 9.30.1 FXZ. You can use the attached XML for save data. Extract the FXZ zip, then place the attachment into the folder along where the original XML is. Then use RSD with this XML.

No, you can flash over the same thing no problem. That is the best way to clean up root.

You can just put it in the folder. Just when you choose the file in RSD, pick the save data one.
That way you have a copy of the original xml if you need it later.

Just keep it. You can have multiples in there. Just choose that one after you click the "..." button in RSD
