Troglodyte - basically, a caveman.
Great as a noun, though I prefer this one in its adjectival form, troglodytic. The best thing about this one is that you can refer to someone as a troglodyte right to their face, and, providing you're right, they won't know what the hell you're talking about! Talk about a win-win!
Anyone else care to pass on a nugget of conversational gold?

lmfao - I have a bout 8 years worth of emails from wordsmith.org (A Word A Day mailing list) from which I can pull a lot of obscure words.
asinine tends to be one of my favorites, b/c most people don't even know the meaning of the word.

Fard: as a verb, it means to apply makeup. When I'm behind one of the ladies I work with at a stop light, and see them applying makeup, I give them a hard time about my seeing them farding while driving. They seem to think I'm accusing them of doing something else

Sounds like it ought to be the title to an Irish Limerick, aye, it does at that, laddie!

As an aside, here is a link to the site I mentioned in my other post:
The AWAD archive goes back 20 years:
Interestingly enough, sooocold's word was featured in Jan 2014 on AWAD - and a couple of others I've used as well....

The more I think about it, the more I am sure it's been longer. Because we were getting them when we were on MSN dialup and that was back pretty close to then. I just don't have them on my work system.
