You're using a 64 bit linux that's not configured to run 32 bit applications.
Non potest esse nisi unus

What Sam said....you need the various 32 bit libs, like ia32. There is a post in here somewhere on it

It was funny, because I was just on that particular post just a minute before for someone else, otherwise I would not have probably done that

At the begining of the guide is says to follow these steps if you are runnning 64 bit, which I did. I'm I just retarded and missing something?

look at the post that livingkaos provided, it has other libs to install as well. Dans post only has ia32-libs, but it may require other libs, I cant speak from experience as I dont have these devices, just try to provide help

Thanks Dan for coming up with a solution so quickly! You're a rock star!
One question... when my Bionic boots, the usual animation is there but the animation sound isn't working. I've poked around and it seems everything is in place. Is this a new "feature" of JellyBean?

I dont have a Bionic, but see if bootsound.ogg exists in /system/media

There is the Bionic.ogg and the bootanimation.zip .
Edit- I should have expanded here - the .ogg file is the audio portion and the bootanimation.zip is the animation and control descriptor.
Is your volume down? The boot volume now is the same as the last known volume during use.

Did you have it on silent or vibrate only when it was rebooted? Mine doesn't make any sound on boot if I had it on silent beforehand. If the volume is on, I will hear it.

To answer both your questions, the volume was on when I rooted my Bionic. I can see files files with root explorer and they are all there with the correct content. I can play the Bionic.oog file with DoubleTwist it just doesn't when the phone boots. Very odd... I'm wondering if it's an old ICS bootanimation.zip file though...

inside of the bootanimation.zip there is a file that references the sound file, yours may be missing or blank.....so you get no sound.
Look at the zip from root explorer there should be a desc.txt file, see if the sound file is referenced in there

Works great!! Thanks Dan now I have a rooted 4.1.2 XT910

Yes, the file has the following contents
#droid
p 1 7 01_droid
#mobility
p 1 0 02_mobility
s Bionic.ogg
#loop
p 0 0 03_loop
